Performance marketing
Paid acquisition and retargeting engineered to fill departures and generate qualified enquiries — the right package to the right traveller at the right moment.
Local, GMB & trust
Google Business Profiles, reviews and 360° imagery so every office, resort and counter is discoverable, credible and busy in its own market.
Why travel is a segment we chose.
I started Fabulous Media in 2008 with a simple belief: marketing should be measured in revenue, not applause. Travel and hospitality is where that belief gets tested hardest — margins are thin, seasons are unforgiving, and a booking is only real when someone actually shows up.
It’s also the category I love most. A great trip changes people, and the brands that create those trips deserve marketing as considered as the journeys they design. Over the years we’ve had the privilege of growing luxury travel houses, experiential storytellers, corporate travel managers and, now, an AI-first travel platform — each teaching us something new about how Indians discover, trust and book.
The way trips get planned has changed more in the last two years than in the previous ten. Search still matters, but AI assistants now sit between the dream and the booking, most journeys begin on a phone, and travellers trust a recommendation more than an advertisement. This microsite — and the playbook below — is how we think about winning in that world. If you run a travel or hospitality brand and want marketing that fills departures, let’s talk.
Marketing India’s Travel & Hospitality Brands: The 2026 Playbook
India’s travellers have never had more choice, more information, or more ways to decide. This is how travel and hospitality brands earn attention, trust and bookings across search, AI answer engines, social and performance — in the year the buying journey stopped being linear.
The journey stopped being a funnel
For a decade, travel marketing followed a tidy path: awareness, consideration, booking. That path is gone. A traveller today might see a reel, ask ChatGPT to build a five-day Kerala itinerary, cross-check prices on three apps, read Google reviews for a specific resort, and finally enquire on WhatsApp — all on a phone, across a week, without ever visiting a homepage the way marketers imagine. The brands that win aren’t the loudest; they’re the ones present, credible and easy to act on at every one of those unplanned moments.
You no longer market to a funnel. You show up, trustworthy and bookable, wherever the decision is actually being made.
What changed — and why it matters now
Three shifts explain most of it. First, AI assistants moved into the middle of the journey. More than two-thirds of Indian travellers say they’ll use AI for their next trip, and a third already do — for itineraries, local recommendations and destination ideas. If your brand isn’t discoverable and quotable by those assistants, you’re invisible at the exact moment intent forms. Second, mobile is now the whole game — nearly four in five bookings happen on a phone, which makes site speed, clarity and one-tap enquiry non-negotiable rather than nice-to-have. Third, curated beats commodity: vacation packages are the fastest-growing category as travellers pay for someone to remove the friction of planning — a gift to brands that can tell a sharp, specific story.
The playbook: six pillars
Win search — then win the answer engine
Own organic demand for destinations, packages and city-level intent, and structure that same content so it’s quotable by AI. The brands that get recommended inside ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity are the ones whose pages answer real traveller questions clearly, with facts an assistant can lift verbatim. Answer-engine optimisation (AEO/GEO) isn’t separate from SEO — it’s the next layer of it.
Build for the phone, and for one-tap intent
If a booking is going to happen on mobile, every metre of friction costs money. Fast pages, obvious itineraries and prices, WhatsApp and call routing, and enquiry forms that respect a traveller’s thumb. The site’s job isn’t to impress — it’s to convert an already-interested traveller before they drift to a competitor.
Sell the experience, not the itinerary
Travellers buy a feeling before they buy a package. Destination-led social, real photography, and creator collaborations turn a beautiful place into a booked trip — and double as the content that feeds both search and AI answers. Experiential and luxury brands especially compete on story, not on price.
Performance that fills departures
Paid acquisition and retargeting exist to fill seats and generate qualified enquiries — not to buy vanity clicks. Read the data, and double down on the destinations, departures, audiences and creatives that actually convert to booked revenue. Bundled packages, the fastest-growing category, reward brands that can market a clear offer efficiently.
Local presence & earned trust
A traveller researching a resort or a travel counter checks Maps, reviews and photos before they enquire. Complete Google Business Profiles, a steady flow of genuine reviews, and rich 360° imagery make each location discoverable and believable in its own market — where high-intent, local demand actually lives.
Measure revenue, not applause
Impressions and likes don’t fill a jungle lodge or a corporate travel programme. The scoreboard that matters is enquiries, bookings, departures filled and revenue per campaign. Attribution in travel is messy, but a brand that ties spend to booked business makes sharper decisions than one chasing reach.
Corporate & business travel is a different sport
Not all travel is leisure. Business travel is bought by finance leaders, admins and travel coordinators evaluating cost control, policy and duty of care — not by someone dreaming of a beach. It needs an enterprise-grade digital presence, visibility for managed-travel intent, a professional B2B voice, and lead generation aimed at real corporate accounts and RFPs. Same engine, entirely different fuel.
How Fabulous Media runs it
We treat these six pillars as one connected system rather than six line items — because in travel they either reinforce each other or they leak. A search win feeds an AI answer; a great piece of content feeds both; a fast site converts the demand the other five create; and every rupee is measured against booked business. It’s the approach behind the brands on this page, from luxury private journeys to an AI-first booking platform.
Marketing that reports clicks is easy. Marketing that reports revenue is the job.
If you run a travel or hospitality brand in India — leisure, luxury, corporate or tech — and you want a marketing partner who thinks about departures and enquiries rather than impressions, that’s the conversation we like having.
